OUR STORY
Kelly Kustom Homes officially opened its doors in 2005, but our story started nearly a decade earlier when founder Kelly Wenstrom built his first home in 1996. What began as a passion project quickly grew into a trusted name across Alberta—known for quality builds, long-standing relationships, and a down-to-earth approach.
Today, Kelly works alongside his daughter, Alex Carter, bringing both legacy and fresh design insight to every project. Together, they carry on the family tradition of building homes with intention—rooted in quality, guided by honesty, and tailored to each client’s unique lifestyle.
Kelly Wenstrom – Founder & Builder
Hi, I’m Kelly, the founder of Kelly Kustom Homes. Truth be told, I’ve been building long before it had a name. I built my first house in 1996, and by 2005, I officially turned this passion into a business. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working with some of the best trades in Alberta, many of whom I still work with today.
For me, it’s always been about quality and relationships. I’m a hands-on builder—I show up on site, know what’s happening on every project, and ensure we’re doing things the right way, every time. No shortcuts. No fluff. Just good, solid homes that are built to last.
Now, I get to work alongside my daughter Alex, which has been one of the most rewarding parts of this journey. Together, we balance tradition with fresh ideas and treat every home like ours.
Alex Carter – Sales Manager & Designer
Hi! I’m Alex, the sales manager and designer, and I am a proud second generation of Kelly Kustom Homes. I grew up watching my dad bring homes to life with care, precision, and a lot of heart. I can carry that legacy forward while adding a modern, design-driven touch to the process.
My role is all about connection. I work closely with our clients to guide them through every decision—big or small—and make sure their home not only looks amazing but truly feels like them. Whether we’re choosing tile, customizing layouts, or walking through a build, I’m here to make the process as fun, inspiring, and stress-free as possible.
I love working one-on-one with families to help bring their visions to life. There’s nothing more rewarding than seeing a client step into their finished home and know it’s everything they dreamed of—and more.
